Training

Every lesson is different but based around the same syllabus. You will be constantly challenged and encouraged to develop and practise your skills to the best of your ability and there is always help on hand if you are struggling with a particular technique.

ADULTS Monday 7-9 pm
  Thursday 7-9 pm
   
JUNIORS Thursday 6-7 pm

Typical Lesson

  1. 1Gradual warm up increasing in intensity to get the body ready for exercise
  2. 2Total body stretch
  3. 3Syllabus work including blocking and hand and leg combinations – practising these helps with fluidity of movements and reaction times
  4. 4TECHNIQUE WORK – punching / kicking sequences – breakdown and execution of new punches and kicks
  5. 5SPOT PAD WORK – either centred around fitness and power or working on a specific technique
  6. 6KICK SHIELD WORK – either centred around fitness and power or working on a specific technique
  7. 7FREE TIME – this consists of practising self defence techniques, extra fitness work, stretching, one-to-one assistance with techniques.

  8. 8Sparring (optional) – this is strictly controlled light continuous and points sparring available to male and female members.
